It’s Sartell Tent Rental’s mission to create happy tent rental customers for life.
Back in 2011, at a wedding reception, a close friend of Tyler’s named Aaron approached him with an intriguing proposition. Aaron asked if Tyler would be interested in joining him in the tent setup business for a local company in central Minnesota. Tyler, who was about to enter his sophomore year at SCSU, accepted the offer.
Under Aaron’s guidance, Tyler embarked on a journey of learning the ropes of tent installations. Over the following years, Aaron served as Tyler’s mentor, imparting his extensive knowledge about tents. Through this apprenticeship, Tyler gained a solid foundation in the art of successful tent assembly. Little did most people realize that behind each tent stood hours of hard work and a unique set of challenges concealed from the view of clients and guests. Installers, like Tyler, had to display their innovation and often improvise to ensure the safe and effective large tent installations.
By the spring of 2013, Tyler had risen to become the manager and primary laborer for the company’s tent installations and dismantling, all while juggling a demanding landscaping job that demanded over 50 hours of his time each week. It was a period of intense activity in his life.
The most challenging part was working late nights and most of the weekends, which is inevitable in this business. It was a sacrifice of personal time that few people are willing to make during the warmer months.
In 2017, the company changed ownership, and Tyler played a pivotal role in educating the new owners about the intricacies of the business. A year later, together with his wife Alyssa, Tyler decided to start a new venture: Sartell Tent Rental. The mission was clear, to create lifelong satisfied customers in the tent rental industry. Their focus was on delivering a seamless, transparent and stress-free experience for anyone in need of tent rental services.
Sartell Tent Rental is owned and operated by Tyler Monson, an experienced tent installer. Since 2011, Tyler has set up and removed 400+ tents throughout central Minnesota.
Tyler and Alyssa reside on the north side of Sartell, accompanied by their Siberian Husky, Raven. Both Tyler and Alyssa hold full-time positions at Virnig Manufacturing in Rice. They share a common belief – if something is worth doing, it should be done right or not at all. Their unwavering work ethic and enthusiasm for this opportunity drive them forward.
